Arlington EATS Program Assistant Job Description

Arlington EATS is a visionary nonprofit engaging the community in eliminating food insecurity and hunger in Arlington.  EATS has seen a 60% growth in those needing food assistance since the start of the pandemic. EATS is looking for someone who would like to be part of the EATS team during this extraordinary time.

Summary of Duties: The Program Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Program Staff with administrative and program duties related to the ordering, receiving, packing, and delivery of food. 

This will be a part-time contract position (16 hours/week) that is a temporary, lasting 6-9 months. The hours of work include: Mondays 9am-11 am + 2 hours of admin work in the evening; Tuesdays 9:30 am-12:30 pm + 2 hours of admin work in the evening; Wednesdays 8am-1 pm + 2 hours of admin work in the evening. There may be some flexibility with the scheduled hours. 

The majority of the work will take place at St. John’s Church, EATS’ distribution location, but administrative work can be done remotely or in the EATS office.

Starting salary will be $18/hour. Benefits include vacation time after a 90-day probation period.
