Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, our organizations merged in July 2017 and in March 2019 we launched our rebranded name of Arlington EATS. For us, it was a no-brainer to join forces as we had similar missions and values. And by joining forces, we knew we could provide more food to more people in an efficient and sustainable way.
The food and all of our services are FREE to any Arlington resident in need of food.
We are excited that we will be part of a new property for affordable housing here in Arlington. Housing Corporation of Arlington owns 117 Broadway and leased the "diner" to us for four and a half years prior to construction.
Currently the site is under construction and will eventually house 12 apartments and we will have space on the first floor for our operations, which will include the Market and our other programs. We eagerly await the new space which will be designed so that we can serve more food to more of our neighbors.
Saint John's has graciously opened their doors to us during this construction phase. We plan on being there for about two years. We will keep you posted on the progress of the new building.
We are glad to partner with Food Link, as we are one of 30 agencies that Food Link delivers food to. We have a long history of working together as we shared space for four years on Broadway. However, we are separate nonprofits.
